The Mindfulness Center at Brown University was established in 2017 in collaboration with the Brown University School of Public Health the Warren Alpert Medical School and the Contemplative Studies InitiativeTop leaders and academics in mindfulness research came together to address the need for methodologically rigorous research into mindfulness. While many pieces of this site are the same or very similar to what was on the past Commissions site this is a work in progress and as with any new launch there have been some issues or glitches along the way where information may not.

The agency lost roughly 13000 employees around 14 percent of its workforce between 2010 and 2016. Its current budget of 112 billion is 18 percent below the 2010 level after adjusting for inflation.
